About

Welcome to my blog and thanks for checking it out.

I’m an NHS GP working in East London with a passion for international primary care with a Masters in medical anthropology from SOAS. I am the former Vasco da Gama Liaison Officer to the WONCA Executive Board (the European branch of the World Organisation of Family Doctors) and former Chair of the RCGP Junior International Committee (JIC). My absolute love is the intersection where culture and medicine meet and I believe that, as family physicians, we are sufficiently embedded in the lives of our patients to see this first-hand.

Thoughts are my own and I write this in my spare time outside my clinical work so apologies for all my typos (of which there are many)!

Please feel free to comment or contact me on what you think should be included so that this blog stays relevant but also for any other reason! I’d love to hear from you.
